How to import a table style

This app lets you add ready-made table styles to your Word, PowerPoint, or Excel file. You don't design styles yourself — your organization has already created them; you just import and apply the one you need.

  1. Open the Word, PowerPoint, or Excel file you want to update. A panel opens automatically showing the available table styles.
  2. Select a style in the list on the left. A preview shows in the right panel. Double-click the filename, or select it and click the Import button, to import it into the file.
  3. Optionally import additional table styles.
  4. To set a table style as the default for new tables in your document, select it in the left panel and click the Set as default button.
  5. Click the Save button to update your file, then close the app.

How to apply a table style

  1. Open your document in Word, PowerPoint or Excel.
  2. If you have applied 'Set as default', newly inserted tables will have that table style.
  3. For existing tables: put the cursor in the table, select the Table Design tab on the ribbon and click the preview of the imported style to apply it to the table.

About the preview panel

The checkboxes next to the preview (Header row, Total row, Banded rows, etc.) only show what the style can look like in this app — they don't change your file. What actually gets applied depends on the settings of the corresponding checkboxes in the document for a specific table.

For IT administrators

Both the license activation and the folder this app browses for table styles (step 1 above) can be set up once, silently, for every machine — end users never need to configure anything themselves. Installer options, silent configuration (including an Intune/SCCM packaging note), and common issues are covered in the IT Administrator Guide.

If you open this app yourself, you may not see what your users see. If your own account also has a Full edition license, the app shows that instead of the restricted Import-only view — Full always takes priority when a key carries both. If you weren't assigned an Import-only seat of your own at all, you'll see an unlicensed state instead. Neither means something is wrong; this page (and the linked guide) describe what your organization's Import-only users see, not necessarily your own.
